Sound select balanced hounds true to type, combining grace, athleticism and outstanding movement

JOMEJA is a small select kennel of long standing, located in the beautiful Bremer Valley of South East Queensland since 1976, which over the years has emphasised breed quality not quantity. Selectively breeding from sound stock has seen Jomeja produce versatile dogs which have made their mark in a variety of fields and lifestyles. Jomeja based their bloodlines on Vishala, Lwillows and Etosha, some of the earliest kennels in Australia and which have produced some of this country's most outstanding dogs.

In 1985 we co-owned and imported Am Ch and Ch Calico Ridge Commander Cody (imp US) from Diane Jacobsen in California.

More recently we have imported semen from Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, French, Lux. Int Champion UKUKHYANA SCOUT THE RED BARON owned by John and Asborg Berg in Norway. Jomeja also had the opportunity to use AM and Aust Ch CAMELOT'S CODE RED when he was out here recently. Thank you to Karlie and Danielle Nieuwenhuis for allowing me to lease KARGNIEULAN MONTANTA (AI) to breed to Mojave, Montana is sired by AM CH OAKHURST YE YE YOGI BEAR.

In 2008 we will introduce Ch Orangewoods Chenjerai SC, GCG, TT Bred by Deborah  & Tom Adams and owned & handled by Anthony Davies(Co-owned by Deborah Adams) into our breeding program, many thanks to Anthony & Deborah for giving us this opportunity. 

Jomeja has produced multiple BIS, BISS, RUBIS and RUBISS, Best Head, Gait and Ridge at Specialty level, Australian and New Zealand Champions, Endurance and Agility titled dogs. We look forward to many more years with this wonderful breed.
